I joined the Youth Leadership Session which was merged with the Emerging Leaders Session.

1st Session

Title : Youth Leadership - Follow Me

Speaker : Pastor Joshua

1) The culture of today is a following culture

2) To be a great leader, you need to be a great follower. But follow who and follow what?

Matt 4:18-20

- Jesus told the men, Follow me and see.

- He was calling them to devotion, calling them to commitment.

A) Stop

- And ask ourselves, who do we want to be?

- We must stop living for ourselves.

B) Drop

- Drop the things that hold us back. (Hebrews 12:1-2)

- What do I need to let go?

C) Roll

- We are alive for a purpose bigger than ourselves.

- Who we follow in life is important and it determines our destiny.

- When we walk with Jesus our potential is limitless.

3) Paul considered all as lost when compared to Jesus. (Phil 3:7-11)

Summary:

1) A great leader follows the greatest Leader.

2) We are not meant to just live for ourselves. There is a calling on our lives, a purpose that we are to fulfill.

3) When we walk with Jesus, our potential is limitless.

4) We only get one shot at life. Make it count.
