1 Cor 6:12-20
12 "All things are lawful for me,"
13 "Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food"
—and God will destroy both one and the other.
The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord,
and the Lord for the body.
14And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power.
15Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ?
Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute?
Never!
16Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her?
For, as it is written, "The two will become one flesh."
17But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him.
18 Flee from sexual immorality.
Every other sin a person commits is outside the body,
but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.
19Or do you not know that your body
is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you,
whom you have from God?
You are not your own,
20for you were bought with a price.
So glorify God in your body.
the mind has a direct effect on:
1. our thoughts
2. our words
3. our actions
in the 3 areas which are most important of defining an individual,
our mind has direct control..
if you fill your mind with filth
what comes out is filth
just as a housewife goes to the rice bin for rice..
and the trash goes in the trash can..
when our minds are occupied with things of the world,
it manifests in how we react to different situations..
if we are one who fill our minds with immorality,
when ppl talk dirty,
our minds click..
see the connection?
there is a quote..
"we all have photographic memory,
everyone of us..
but some of us dont have the film"
but,
our brain can retain certain images..
the image of the ppl we love
the image of the most beautiful thing we have set our eyes on
likewise the image of the most gruesome accident we have witnessed.
im not just talking bout porn..
horror flicks..
comedy sitcoms..
even the most gruesome operation on greys anatomy..
it all retains in our mind..
and therefore,
thatz why we are filled with filth..
notice dat it is the only sin dat is commited IN the body..
not out of it..
it is out of consciousness we do it,
and in the body it takes itz toil..
i wont debate scripture or theology..
just a solemn reminder..
i too have this problem sometimes..
not oni in lust, but other areas..
but wadever it is..
if we allow it to control us..
it will take over us..
there is no physical, secular law that says,
You cant b angry
or
You cant watch porn
or
You cant kill someone in the back of ur head
or
You cant read Twilight
or
You cant watch Harry Potter
or
You cant watch horror and ghost movies
but rmb,
All things are lawful,
but not all things are good for us..
All things are lawful,
but we should not allow it to overcome us..
in doing so,
we allow it to master us..
if we allow this things to inhabit in our body,
it is the perversion of His will in our lives..
think about it..
as for me,
im moving on to my next mountain..
praise the Lord for His grace..
i have conquered this mountain completely(hopefully)
im weak,
but He who is in me,
is stronger then He who is in the world..
Lord,
let me use my life
my body
my thoughts
to glorify Your name
Amen

12 "All things are lawful for me,"
but not all things are helpful.
"All things are lawful for me,"
but I will not be enslaved by anything.
