The Case for Haiti..

I will be internet-less for the rest of my Sarawak trip.

This was neither a food trip nor an MYPG-related trip. However, God transformed it into both. I so wished I had brought a video camera to interview some leaders to show how urgent it is for young people to be involved in prayer and to be mission-minded.

That shall be penned down or rather, typed down in my next blog post.

Right now, I want to talk about Haiti. Haiti is a place riddled with idolatry, demonic worship and a nation that practices Voodoo. Haiti is also the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere.

On January 12th 2010, a 7.0 mag earthquake struck Haiti and to date the death toll is in the tens, hundreds of thousands. Schools, hospitals, parliament buildings all gone.

We mourn for the lost of souls, but at the same time should be concerned about those still alive.

This is a short request asking us to be generous. Generous in giving and generous in prayer. If these things don't happen, we never get to know whether we are really as "generous" as we portray ourselves to be. If you are willing to give, here is just one of the many websites.

Will we turn our eyes now? Will we close them shut or turn our heads and decide to ignore Haiti.

He executes justice for the oppressed,
and gives food to the hungry. - Psa 146:7
